David Cook Winner American Idol 2008 – The Time Of My Life Free Lyrics and mp3 downloads

David Roland Cook American Idol Winner 2008

David (born December 20, 1982) was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Blue Springs, Missouri. He was the lead singer and guitarist of the band Axium from 1999 until 2006. He formed Axium in his junior year at Blue Springs South High School with drummer Bobby Kerr. One of the band’s songs, “Hold,” was picked up by AMC Theatres Movie Tunes and was played before previews on over 5,000 screens nationwide. Axium was also named one of the top 15 independent bands in the country in the “Got Milk?” independent band contest, and they were chosen as the best band in Kansas City in 2004.

David was the lead singer and guitarist of the band Axium from 1999 until 2006. After the breakup of Axium and his relocation to Tulsa, Cook joined the regional touring band Midwest Kings, playing guitar and bass and singing backup vocals. He recorded one EP, Incoherent with Desire to Move On, with the band in 2006.

David released an independent album, Analog Heart, in 2006. The album was chosen as the fourth-best CD released in 2006 by website Music Equals Life. Cook also won the Urban Tulsa Weekly’s Absolute Best of Tulsa award for “Best Locally Produced, Independent Album” in 2007. Analog Heart was listed as the number one album for “Today’s Top MP3 Albums” on Amazon.com. He had completed recording a second album before his appearance on American Idol.

David was declared the winner of American Idol season 7 on May 21, 2008, receiving 56% of the votes (12 Million votes more than runner up David Archuleta). David’s winner song “The Time of My Life“, is the winning song of the 2008 American Idol Songwriter’s Competition, which will also be David Cook’s first single. The single is available right now on iTunes currently No.1.

During the finale of season 7 of American Idol, David appeared in a commercial for the game franchise Guitar Hero, mimicking Tom Cruise in Risky Business. David Cook – Axium

David Cook played in a band called Axium before he won the Idol 07. David Cook formed Axium in his junior year of high school alongside drummer Bobby Kerr. The band was originally called Red Eye, but they changed it because it sounded too much like Pink Eye. The first performance as Axium (actually spelled Axiom at the time) consisted of Cook, Kerr, as well as Matt McLaughlin on guitar and Drew Foss on bass. Foss was soon replaced by Anthony Mazzarella, and this lineup recorded an unnamed 5 song demo. Cook and Kerr then went through a few bass players in search of the perfect band, but these two always stuck together. It was in May of 2001, that Cook and Kerr finally found Jeff Shrout. Since then, Bobby Kerr left the band, followed by David Cook a little over a year later. Axium mutually disbanded in 2006.

Hey that was great I needed those lyrics and audio of David Cook Time of my Life.. That seemed really simple for me (I am quite computer illiterate! So I thought I would ask if you have Strut by the Cheetah Girls, the one where theres soft music at the very begining of the song before it starts the lyrics?

Congrats for putting up this blog for david cook and big thanks for exerting much time and effort to put all these together. This is really cool.

I enjoy listening to David’s songs all over again. He has this distinct voice and stage presence that made him the American IDOL.

Thanks For the songs! I don’t know if I like the studio versions or the live versions better. David Cook is the first American Idol that I went Gung-Ho over. The first thing I heard from was his version of “Hello”. I heard it on a radio talkshow and the Show hosts were playing clips from the previous nights Idol Show. After that I watched it regularly. David Cook’s the Man.

No confusion, I wrote (cover versions by artist) and “Always be my baby” Mariah Carey and for the other artist as well.
Sure it’s not his song….
I did not write it for the live versions……it’s to much work. But DC fans know these are just covers……I think..

Thanks so much for all the songs on your site available for download! I’ve downloaded all of them! They rock!! =) I live in KC, MO and was able to go to Blue Springs when David came home. The local news station aired live almost all day following him around. It was really cool. The really awesome part was they put the 3 songs (“There Goes My Hero”, “Always Be My Baby”, and “Livin’ On A Prayer”) he sang at his high school stadium on their website. One is on this website address I’ve attached, then the other 2 are part of the “SideBar” that you can click on on that same page.

This is still the best site I have found for David Cook music! Thank you! Have you found, or is it possible to get the downloadable versions of “Always Be My Baby” and “Livin’ On A Prayer” that David Cook did last May in Blue Springs (same day as the acoustic “My Hero”)? I listen to that version of “My Hero” that you put on your site all the time, by the way. Thank you so much for doing that! All of those songs David performed that day were so incredible! The fact that they were so good and all he had was his guitar made it all that more outstanding! =) I would love to hear those other 2 songs from that day. Thanks again for such a great site!
